I went to Worsester to hang out with and cheer on the folks I consider to be my 2nd family. Just a great bunch of people I’ve come to know over the last 4 years through running races in Worcester. Â
Since this was just a run to have fun we all hit one of the “carbo loading” establishments before the race began. As you can see we were dressed and ready. We have minions along with gru, a tin man, an 80’s rocker and someone to watch over us to make sure we made it to the starting line.
(l-r)Rene, Kim, Me, Sarah, Pete, Stephanie, and Christine. We returned to this scene to begin our after race tour of establishments when the running was done. Â
As you can see everyone made it to the starting line, along with an additional cast of characters. And to prove that the early carbo loading worked….Â
This is the minions headed to the finish line.Â
And on top of these smiling finishers we also had…. Â
Brodie and Nicole. Two weeks ago Brodie took 3rd place in a race in the same Worcester area. At the Monster Dash he placed 2nd, which is even more inpressive since he was wearing a costume instead of running apparelle.
Then along with these great people I got to hang with my buddy, Stephanie’s husband….Â
Tom. He comes to all of the races that Stephanie runs. And, since I was on the injured reserve list, we cheered everyone on together.  Â
What a super time it was at the Canalloween 5k. “Thank You” to all those I hung with and made the day special.
