That’s right. I spent Sunday afternoon at—THE GAZBAR. Leominster, Ma. was the place, Sunday October 13th at 1:30 was the time, The GazBar was an amazing host, and runners and walkers alike gathered to participate in the First Annual….
“Rock The GazBar 5k” to raise money for the high school track. As many people know, I don’t usually travel to races without past race results. The reason is, I many times drive 2-3 hours to run a race and I prefer to know I’m not running alone. But for some reason I locked into this race while looking at the listings on cool running. Plus it was at 1:30 in the afternoon, with a great focus for the funds(being I spent my h.s. life on the track), it was at a sports grille and IT WAS ONLY 5 BUCKS.  I am far from cheap, but I know a deal when I see one. Also, I hadn’t run in the Leominster area in quite some time. And…….            Â
this group of people (along with many volunteers) put on an amazing race and did a phenomenal job. Back l-r Marge, Mark , myself, Deb, Chris, and Jared, front has Molly and Erica. Jared and Erica are the owners of The GazBar and have an amazing place.Â
From the very minute I stepped out of my car until I got back into it to head home, I knew I was in the right place that day. You need to do two things at this point. No. 1 is to read the next three entries and No. 2 put this race on you “have to run” list for next year. This Place and these people did just an amazing, amazing job So read on……
