The day had arrived. It was the 38th annual Holyoke St Patrick’s Day Road Race 2013. This would also be my 10th St. Patty’s Day Race here. I had arrived, as many of you know, looking for the stories of the day to show themselves.  But there was a big difference this year…..

The roads were quiet early that morning. But I always arrived early and the roads were always fairly quiet when I arrive on the previous 9 years……

Yep, there was the registration tent, just like last year……What was so different about this year???????

The difference was that I had joined onto the road race and parade committees 6 months prior and I was here to help put the race on. What an honor and a privilege it is to work with such an amazing group of people. I have about a dozen entries which will show you the stories I found that day with the runners (yes I also ran) and the people I spent time with from the committee. It has been an amazing, eye-opening experience. Â
