These are not just friends, they are great friends. They are Air Force Reservists out if Barnes Air Force Base in Westfield, Ma.. Tom(white shirt) picked up the running fever just about a year ago with last year’s St. Patty’s race being his first. His excitement has caught on with those around him.
(L-R) Sevgi, Tony, Dawn, Quigley, Tom, Todd and me. I have been in weddings, helped with the building of houses, watched football, and watched their families grow. We have drank a little beer together…well, maybe some beer…. well, a good amount of beer….actually, now that I think of it, we’ve drank a lot of beer together.
They are brothers and sisters to me. They are trained for war, but, if you try to mess with anyone of them you would have to go to war with me first. I love and am tremendously proud of all of them.             
Neal, Jared and Andrew Are also reservists at Barnes and were at the tent early to get their numbers.

John is a Marine and was fired up about the race.  AS AN IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION—27 bib numbers were sent to 27 marines in Kuwait. At the exact same time as the gun went off to start our race they ran a 10 k there. They also  raised money for M. S.Â
WE SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF THESE PEOPLE AND ALL THOSE SERVING IN OUR ARMED SERVICES AROUND THE WORLD. THEY ARE THERE PRESERVING OUR RIGHT TO BE FREE
