–The Saint Patrick’s Day 10k in Holyoke , Ma. is one of my favorite races. You can tell it is because I ran it with tweaked hamstrings and planters fasciitis on one of my feet. Not smart but what can I say.
–The people are what makes this race special to me. And it all starts with the folks at the registration tables. Beverly, Christie and I are pictured at one of the tables.  Christie remembered me from last year which was a nice start to the day. Beverly (2x’s), Xiaolei, myself, and Missy are pictured at the next table over.  I have written many times that without the volunteers races would not exist. These people are not only volunteers, they greeted you with a smile and made you feel good right from the beginning.
—-Then there is one of my best friends, Bill. Pictured with his wife Leslie (L) and her sister Janis. They were the first people I met after the race and at the beginning of the “after race festivities”. Great friends and great people to start the carbo load session.Â
—There are 2 more entries after this that you should check out so you can read about the people in between these meetings. This is a great place to be on St. Pat’s weekend and you should plan on being with us next year.        Â
